With Two Weeks Left, ACC Atlantic Division Lurches Toward Chaotic Finish

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. - As Dustin Hopkins' field goal split the uprights, so, too, did the road toward the ACC's Atlantic Division title.

One team - Florida State - raced off its sideline and toward a celebratory dog-pile on the middle of Bobby Bowden Field.

The other - Clemson - alternately stood and sat there in stunned disbelief.

Twenty-one seconds earlier, overtime appeared a certainty;, The Tigers had the Seminoles second-and-forever at their own 30.

Then came a pass interference penalty. And an 18-yard strike from E.J. Manuel to Rodney Smith.

And Hopkins - the goat a week earlier against North Carolina - booting a straight-and-true 55-yard field goal that booted Clemson out of the Atlantic Division race, handing Florida State a stunning 16-13 win.
