Filed under: Clippers, NBA Rumors, NBA TransactionsJon Scheyer, captain of the reigning NCAA National Champion Duke Blue Devils, has accepted an offer to go to training camp with the Los Angeles Clippers, a league source told FanHouse.

The Clippers currently have 14 players on their roster, one short of the league maximum, though the contracts of both second-round pick Willie Warren and free agent signee Marqus Blakely are only partially guaranteed.

He ended his career as the only player in school history to record at least 2,000 points, 500 rebounds, 400 assists, 250 made three-pointers and 200 steals along with finishing ninth all-time at Duke in scoring (2,077 points), third in free throws made (608) and free-throw percentage (.861, sixth in ACC history), fourth in three-pointers made (297), eighth in steals (208) and 11th in assists (440). Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
