David Reutimann figured he was only doing what was fair, and Kyle Busch figured that getting wrecked in the Chase was a miserable time for pay back.

The only accurate assessment of what surely is the most-discussed incident from a relatively incident-free Kansas race is that both drivers thought they were right and the other was wrong.

But what's new in the "Have at it, boys" era of NASCAR racing?

To recap: Kyle Busch got in the back of David Reutimann (right), spinning Reutimann's No. 00 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota into the turn 2 wall and bringing a caution on lap 52 of Sunday's Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway.

Reutimann couldn't have been accused of just being in the way, either. After starting 16th, he was scored as high as ninth before the incident.

He also couldn't be accused of taking the incident lightly.
